Burleigh

In 2013 Higg+Bunn were invited to work with The Centre for Fine Print Research (CFPR) at University of the West of England on an AHRC funded project with ceramic industry partners, Burleigh. The aim of the research was to use digital tools to modernise Burleigh’s unique 18th century print processes making them viable for 21st century designs. Jessie and Katie used the seaweed drawings from their Craft Fellowship to develop a digital drawing method of complex hatched lines that would translate to an engraving.
